Obituary of Janet Beymann Green
Janet Beymann Green, age 90 of the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center, former longtime Colonie resident died on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Born in NYC, Janet was a graduate and past class secretary of the Morris High School in the Bronx, which was a well known prestigious high school. She resided in the Capital District most of her life. Janet had been employed as a personnel status examiner for the NYS Dept of Civil Service in Albany for many years and was retired. She had been active with CSEA during her employment. She was a member of Congregation Beth Emeth and their sisterhood and was also a member and Past President of B'nai B'rith Women. Janet will long be remembered by her friends and family for her extraordinary culinary expertise and baking.
Janet was married to Irving Green until his passing in 2006. Loving Mother of Leslie Berlin and her husband Mark of Potomac, Maryland and Lauren Mancuso and her husband Paul of Guilderland, NY. Sister of Ethel Rimmer of New Hyde Park, New Jersey. Grandmother of Justin Berlin, Sam and Michael Mancuso. Sister in law of Harriet Sikora of Tucson, Arizona. Janet also leaves many nieces and nephews as well as many loyal and dedicated friends.
Services at the Beth Emeth Cemetery, Turner Lane in Loudonville, NY on Sunday, July 21, 2013 at 11:00am.
