Obituary of Avram Krel
Avram Krel died May 1, 2013 in Albany. Born in the Ukraine on December 22, 1928, he and his beloved wife, Zhanna, came to the United States in 1991, to join his daughter and her family in Albany. He was a retired engineer.
Avram is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Zhanna, adoring daughter Yelena Krel Bricklin, loving son-in-law Simon Bricklin, cherished granddaughter Alina Bricklin Goldstein and her husband Jared Goldstein. Avram is also survived by his nieces and nephews and their families in the United States, Israel, Ukraine and Azerbaijan. He was predeceased by his brother Evsei ( Antonina) Krel and his sister, Dina (Samuel) Goldin.
Avram was loved by all who knew him, family, friends and co-workers. He was an example of generosity and giving and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
A funeral will be held at the Ohav Shalom Cemetery, Tuesday, May 2nd at 1:30pm The family suggests that contributions in Avram's memory be made to the Yad Yonaton fund at Congregation Ohav Shalom, 113 Krumkill Road, Albany, NY 12208, The family will be observing the period of mourning at the Bricklin residence on Thursday following the service of interment and commencing on Sunday for the remainder of the week.
