Obituary of Mabel Kahn

Mabel Weinstein Kahn passed away peacefully on Saturday March 30, 2013 at the age of 90. She grew up in Brooklyn and raised her family in Elmont, LI before moving to Southbury, CT in retirement. She was a resident of The Terrace at Glen Eddy in Niskayuna since 2003. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grand, and great-grandmother, she is survived by her children Phil and Debbi Kahn of Delmar, Warren and Amy Kahn of New Jersey, Susan and Tony Fauci of Connecticut, 6 grandchildren (Alyssa Kahn Hoffman and Abby Kahn, Adam and Ethan Kahn, Jessica Wilchfort Rider and Billy Wilchfort), 5 great-grandchildren (Zachery and Elizabeth Rider, Cody and Cassidy Hoffman, and Estella Kahn), and a brother Selig Winston. Mabel was a happy and energetic soul who loved to cook, dance, play tennis, swim, and take walks. She adored her husband Jerry during their 52 years of marriage. She was loved by everyone, giving hugs and blowing kisses to all she came in contact with. Mabel will be memorialized privately by her family. Donations may be made to a charity of one's choice
