Obituary of Alice Kussman
Alice Jaffe Kussman, 93 of the Baptist Rehabilitation and Retirement Center in Scotia died on Wednesday morning, March 13, 2013 at the nursing home. Born in Pittsfield, Ma, Alice later moved to Troy where she graduated from Troy High School. She resided most of her life in Schenectady. As a young woman, she was employed at the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory., She was later employed by the NYS Dept of Criminal Justice in Albany. She was a member of Congregation Gates of Heaven in Schenectady and also did volunteer work there.
Alice was married to Joseph Kussman until his passing in 1970. She is survived by 2 sons, Michael Kussman (Virginia) of Chevy Chase, Maryland and Russell Kusman
(Kimberly) of Pacific Palisades, California and a daughter, Robyn Roggensack (Bart) of Castle Rock, Colorado. Grandmother of Joshua Kussman and his wife Laura, Mesha Kussman and her husband Jordan, Deana Kussman and her husband, Steven Quan, ,Steven Kussman, Benjamin Kussman and Matthew Kussman. Great grandmother of Max, Zander and Lavinia.
Services at the Gates of Heaven Cemetery, Watt Street in Schenectady on Friday March 15, 2013 at 11:00am. Those wishing to remember Alice in a special way may make a memorial contribution to Congregation Gates of Heaven, 852 Ashmore Avenue, Schenectady, NY 12309.
