Dear Keith, My heart is breaking for you and Grace. I always loved having you both in my yoga classes. I really admired you as a father. It was so apparent to me and to Grace how much you loved her. I remember you frequently helping to maneuver her into the various postures in class. No words can covey the sadness of this situation. Any support I can offer you please let me know.

I was Grace's music teacher at Linden Elementary School in Oak Ridge, TN. It was a joy to have Grace in music class. She loved to play instruments, dance, and play musical games. Through her love of music, she made beautiful connections with her classmates. She was a bright star in my heart.

Wendy and I had the privilege of knowing Gracie and having her over to our home on several occasions. As those who knew her are aware, her hands were never idle! She had a particular interest in keys and blinds. She was famous for checking the kitchen drawers and key racks for keys that she could play with. She liked to take them off their rings and re-arrange them. The first time this happened I was quite concerned, but I soon learned that she always put them back, just not in the same order.
Another passion was for our blinds. We live in a rental home and we installed inexpensive plastic blinds. Although we never caught her in the act, we noticed that after each visit, one of the slats in the blinds on the front door had always been removed and placed in an adjacent red vase.
Looking at the vase now brings a tear to my eye.
Gracie loved to clean and recycle. She busied herself in our kitchen washing dishes and collecting empty (or soon to be emptied!) cans and adding them to her bag to take home.
Her spirit was loving, her smile was large and her hugs brightened our evenings. We miss her.

Remembering a precious little girl...I found our only yesterday that she went to be with the Lord last Friday. Many of her Oak Ridge friends are so saddened by this news. Our family knew her as "Gracie"; a lively, spirited little girl that captivated your attention in a special way. We enjoyed playing with her on local playgrounds (she & her Dad moved away to New York last year)--I remember she especially enjoyed climbing high enough to make me nervous, and she would just giggle the higher she got. Heaven has another precious angel to help pour out the rain...Thank you, God, for touching our lives through Gracie Kline. Special prayers are lifted for her Dad--Keith, you were so patient with Gracie, and everyone around saw that you loved her very much. May God comfort you and give you the Peace that you need in a way only HE can.

Grace and Keith - I only realized this morning that I met you both in yoga last summer. Grace told me her name and age and that she went to middle school. She was great in our yoga class - I only wish we had more like both of you - that would be the best memorial. I remember how she immediately tried to help when the instructor got a nosebleed, but she also believed her father when he said it was ok. So she was concerned and ready to help the less fortunate. A parent can't hope for better than that, and Keith, you were an exemplary parent. The yoga class is now a pilates class, but I hope you'll come back and let us help to ease your burden.
