Obituary of Leonard Moses
Leonard Moses, 80, passed away on Monday, December 24, 2012 at the home of his son Joel and daughter-in-law Julie. Len was born in the Bronx. He attended Herman RitterJr. High School and Theodore Roosevelt HS. He earned a BA at City College and an MA in economics at NYU. Upon graduation he went to work for NYS leaving for a brief stint at Chase- Manhattan Bank in NYC for 2 years. He returned to the State and retired from NYS Dept. of Social Service in 1989. Len enjoyed helping his wife Bunny at antique and postcard shows, foreign travel, framing pictures, reading, and watching Giants and Yankee games. He was a friend to everyone and always had a smile on his face and enjoyed cracking jokes.
Len is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bunny (Blanche) Finkel Moses, daughter Debbie
(Jaime), his son Joel (Julie), granddaughter Katie, brothers-in-law Martin and Paul Finkel, and several nephews and great nephews.
He was predeceased by parents Joseph and Regina, brothers Max, Marvin and Eli, and a sister Pearl Brown.
The family would like to thank Community Hospice in Schenectady (Maureen, Chris, Ron, Chris, Jill and Cindy) for their kindness and care in his final months.
There will be a private memorial service this spring. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Community Hospice, Schenectady or the Beth Israel Synagogue in Schenectady.
