I missed watching Barbara dance at the Farmer's Market downtown over the past year. She always made me smile and lifted my heart. I'm sure she is dancing now.

My encounter with Barbara was mainly at the City Mission in Schenectady. Year after year she would come in with her art work in tow. She would greet us with a smile. Sometimes a tiny dance__but always with her art work. Where there was music you would see her dancing__if at the Farmer’s Market or an outside event. You could see times were not always the easiest for her. You could see the struggles of her illness in her face. But when possible she would light up those around her with smiles. She touched the lives of many with her beautiful sweet spirit. And her art work that she freely gave out will be a forever keepsake for me to always remember a very special lady who touched my heart-strings. God has her dancing around heaven now. Dance Barbara. Dance

I have enjoyed her for many years of watching her enjoy her dancing, so unconcerned if anyone else was around. She truly enjoyed music and we truly enjoyed her. I was fortunate to see her walk past me at the most recent Christmas parade in Schenctady. She and the joy she gave to so many will be missed.. My thoughts go out to her family...

We did not know Barb personally but saw her many years at Freedom Park, Green Market, and other places. She always danced with a big smile on her face. We are deeply saddened by her loss and will always remember The Dancing Lady with a big smile who left a memory for us.

I always looked for Barbara at the music concerts every summer. She was such a joy to watch as she danced with everyone on the dance floor, especially at Freedom Park in Scotia.

Barbara was a wonderful woman. When ever she stopped by Proctors on her way about town, she never failed to say Hello to the staff and brighten our day with a story or two. She will be deeply missed as a regular presence of light in our lives. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family. God Bless.
