Obituary of Betty Stoll

Betty Stoll, nee Ruff, on November 10, 2012, in Philadelphia. Beloved wife of Carl Stoll; mother of Jeffrey Stoll, Lawrence Stoll and Debra Stoll- Allen; grandmother of Robert, Eli, Gillian and Jeremy. She was born August 31, 1920, in the Bronx, N.Y. and attended Hunter College. She later moved with her family to Herkimer, New York, where she met her future husband. Betty was deeply in love with, and a source of great support for Carl . They lived together happily from 1939 until his death in 1987. Betty was employed for many years, first as an Administrator in the Department of Health, Albany, and subsequently as an Executive Assistant at the State University of New York at Buffalo. She was fiercely independent, protective and proud of her children's and grandchildren's achievements. Betty will be missed by all who knew and loved her for the above qualities, as well as her sweet (and sometimes mischievous) smile which she bestowed with generosity. Services will be held on Tuesday, November 13 at 11:00am at the Independent Benevolent Association Chapel and Cemetery on Fuller Road, Albany. Burial will follow immediately afterward.
