My deepest sympathy to Dr. Altman's family. He was a wonderful man and doctor! On my first office visit, Dr. Altman came out, told me he was running late and he would be with me as soon as he could. How extraordinary! Yet that was how he was - time for everyone and taking as much time as was needed. I hope you will take comfort that his Light will continue to shine in all of the MANY lives he touched.

Jeff played tenor in our Dixieland band for many years. We had many good times. Wow, a fine player and he sure added a lot to the band. Loved his sense of humor. My wife said if we had any more children Jeff would be her OB. He shall be missed by all. Sorry for your loss. Doc Spring

Dear Mrs. Altman & family, I didn't know Dr. Altman well, but he saw my late mom a few times, and was so kind to her that I loved him immediately. He even wrote me a couple of notes - after her surgery and when he saw her obituary - that were so far beyond what most doctors would do that I was happily stunned and grateful. When my ob-gyn recently retired, my first thought was to switch to him; unfortunately, he had already had to retire due to his illness, so I was never fortunate enough to have him as my personal physician. Since his illness is of long standing, I imagine it's given you some time to prepare for his death, but I can only imagine your grief at losing such a kind, loving, wonderful man. My thoughts are with you.

Jeff is one of those people who you considered a great friend even if you did not see each other than often. He had a wonderful, slightly offbeat sense of humor, and an interesting take on the world. He cared deeply about his family and expressed pride about his children. His interests and hobbies were varied, and he enjoyed them greatly. Most of all, he was a mensch, easy to talk with, caring, and a wonderful physician. I hope you take comfort in knowing that he was a good friend who made the world a better place. I will miss him.

Our family has been truly blessed to have had Dr. Altman in our lives for over 20 years. His professionalism, expertise in his field, comforting bedside manner and most of all- his being with us for the birth of our children- we will always have the utmost fondest memories of all he has done for our family. I will always remember Dr Altman’s smiling face, happy demeanor and words of wisdom. May he be at peace now. Our memories will be cherished forever of such a remarkable man. Roberta and Ned
