Obituary of Charlotte Fisher

Charlotte Burg Fisher, 100 of the Massry Residence in Albany former longtime resident of Milner Avenue in Albany died on Thursday, October 18, 2012 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany. Born in Schenectady, Charlotte was a graduate of the Schenectady High School. She was a member of Congregation Beth Emeth in Albany as well as Hadassah and a former member of the Shaker Ridge Country Club in Colonie. Charlotte was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing bridge, mahjong, crocheting and cooking. She was also an avid reader. Before her marriage, Charlotte had done hat modeling. Charlotte was predeceased in 1991 by her husband of 50 years, Melville, Fisher. Loving Mother of Alice Firsty and her husband Barton of Clifton Park, NY and Michael Fisher of Albany. Cherished grandmother of Lauren and Alexis Firsty. Charlotte was also predeceased by a brother, Sanford Burg and a sister, Roslyn Richman. Services at the Mendleson Chapel, located on the grounds of the Beth Emeth Cemetery on Turner Lane in Loudonville, NY on Sunday, October 21, 2012 at 1:00pm. Interment will follow in the family plot. Those wishing to remember Charlotte may make a memorial contribution to a charity of your choice. Friends and relatives are invited to call at the home of Alice and Barton Firsty, 16 Southbury Road in Clifton Park, NY on Sunday following the funeral service and on Monday from 4-7pm. Charlotte's family would liike to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff on the 6th floor of St Peters Hospital as well as the staff of the Hospice Inn for kindnesses and care show to Charlotte during her stay
