Robin,
So sorry to hear of you Mom's passing. I remember coming to your house a couple of times and she was so nice. Still remember even though it was nearly 50 years ago.

I was deeply saddened to open my newspaper and learn that Alice had passed away. I worked for a number of years with Alice at the Reference Desk of the Central Library. Alice was such a kind, wise and gentle woman. She loved to talk about her family. All those years ago at the Reference Desk, Alice used to tell me I was going to be the Director of the Library and we used to laugh about and then in 2012 I became the Director of the Library and thought Alice had some ability to look into the future!
She was also an active member of the SCPL Friends of the Library and loved reading!
Dr. Jason and Clifford were my three girl's pediatricians for many years - used to call them the apple cheeked Bradley girls. At that time I was a stay at home mom and it was no surprise when I first met Alice and learned she was Dr. Jason's wife that our kind, gentle doctor would have such a kind, loving life partner!

Alice was so dear, reassuring and supportive of all us Schenctady "kids." I have many wonderful memories of her from my childhood. Her home was a safe haven and Alice often had sage advice to share. She was a role model for forward thinking, education, adventure and travel, and individuality. I have many memories of her as an adult as well. She supported our community in many ways, always serving as a model of grace and generosity. Alice also called me yearly to make sure I knew that she was supporting our family's fundraiser for a national charity. She wanted me to know she was standing with me. What a remarkable and kind woman she was. Alice was a wonderful mother, wife and friend. I will miss her very much.
My thoughts are with you - Eric, Susan, Robin and your families. May mom's memory be a blessing always and may you find comfort. Fondly, Debbie and Art Friedson
