Obituary of S. Gerald Duckor
S. Gerald (Jerry) Duckor , 87, died on July 26 2012 at Albany Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Brooklyn New York in 1925.
He served in the US Army (95th Infantry division) from 1943-1945 and was awarded two Bronze Star Medals and a Purple Heart.
Jerry attended Guilford College in North Carolina and St Johns Law School in Brooklyn New York.
He practiced law in Brooklyn from 1953 until 1966 when he moved to Albany and was appointed as an Administrative Law Judge until he retired in 1990.
He was active in Community Theater in Brooklyn, Albany, Schenectady, and New Zealand where he was a founding member of Bard in the Yard.
He is survived by Julie, his wife of 58 years and his children JoEllen, Harvey and his wife Nancy, Ian and his wife Judith. Grandfather of Sam , Avi, Sophia, Jonathan, Abigail, Nina and Alex.

The Funeral service and interment for Jerry will be at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery on Friday (today) at 10am. Open house for family and friends at 3 pm at 65 Patroon Place in Loudonville.
Donations in memory of Jerry can be made to the Kidney Foundation or to a charity of his or her choice.
