I am saddened to hear of the sad news of Benjamin's passing. He and Ruth came to the service and shiva of my father's passing this past Jan...on a cold and icy day. I had heard their names spoken for so many years by my parents with love and reverence. Sending prayers and condolences to the family.

The memorial service for Ben at Beth Emeth was beautiful and very moving
I was deeply saddened by the news of his passing. We have lost a truly remarkable human being. The outpouring of mourners at the service is an indication of how many people Ben touched. But the family has lost something more profoundly personal. I was unable to extend my sympathy in person at the service but want you to know that I have been thinking of you in your loss. Ben was one of the best human beings I have ever known. A mentor and friend, and a gentle soul with great kindness.

With his gentle manner, innate dignity, and unerring moral compass, Ben touched countless lives...including mine.

Dear Ruth,
Meryl and I have vivid memories of you and Ben so warmly welcome us to Albany and Ben Emeth when we moved to Albany to start my career. I was lucky to work with Ben on various boards and to "keep him on key" in the choir. He influenced countless people and I was very lucky to have Ben as an exemplar on how to be a good person as well as the "best dressed" guy in the crowd. Our thoughts are with you.
