Obituary of Larry Propp
Lawrence A. Propp, age 85, of Atlanta and formerly Albany, died April 20, 2017. Mr. Propp was the former owner of The Letter Shop and longtime member of The Rotary Clubs of Albany and Delmar, having served as past president of the Delmar Club. He was born and raised in Albany, attended Milne High School and The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. After college, he returned home to run the family printing business until his retirement just a few years ago. He and his wife moved to Atlanta in 2015, enjoying the opportunity to see their grandchildren grow up. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Mancia Propp; son and daughter-in-law, Dr. David Propp and Susan Kolodkin, Atlanta; son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Susanna Propp, Herndon, Va.; daughter, Laura Propp Postell, Roswell, Ga.; brother, Richard Propp, Albany; grandchildren, Maxwell Propp, Daniel Felix Propp, Zachary Propp, Eleanor Propp, Samantha Postell and Benjamin Postell. Funeral services were held Sunday, April 23, 2017 at Arlington Memorial Park in Atlanta. There will be a Shivah Minyan Service at 7:15 p.m. on Monday, April 24, 2017, at the home of Richard Propp, 13 Marion Ave., Albany, N.Y.
