Obituary of Sonya Rose

Sonya Rose, 83 of Albany, NY died Sunday morning, February 19, 2017 at St. Peters Hospice. She was born in Kingston, NY and raised in Albany. Sonya was the daughter of Irving and Helen Englander, and sister of S. William Englander and the late Richard Englander. Survivors include her children, Stephen Krakower (Judy) of Saratoga Springs, NY, Robin Isaacs (David) of Newtown, CT, Reid Krakower (Nancy) of Stowe, VT and Beth Casey Spillane (James) of Charlotte, NC. Grandmother to Naomi Krakower Storch (Joseph), Jonathan Krakower, Benjamin Krakower, Alexandra Isaacs, Margo Isaacs, Evan Isaacs, Kara Krakower, Eliza Krakower, Emily Casey and Ian Casey. Great Grandmother to Ethan and Rose Storch. Services and interment will be held at the Congregation Beth Emeth Cemetery - Turner Lane - Loudonville, NY on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 1PM. Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend. A period of mourning will be observed at 50-1 Woodlake Road - Albany, NY on Monday and Tuesday evenings at 7PM. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Sonya in a special way may consider a memorial contribution to Congregation Beth Emeth, Ronald McDonald House, St. Peters Hospice or a charity of their choosing. The family would like to acknowledge and thank Sonya's devoted caregivers - Carmen, Maribel and Nora who made a significant impact in Sonya's quality of life.
