Obituary of Miriam Mimi Sommers

Miriam (Mimi) Sommers, 81 of Albany, NY died on Saturday morning, February 18, 2017 at her residence. Mimi was a lifelong Capital District resident. Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Donald H. Sommers, sons Honorable Andrew C. Sommers (Susan) and Peter L. Sommers both of Colonie and a daughter, Caroline Sommers (Marcelo) of NYC. Grandmother of Daryl and Samuel Sommers and Dino and Luna Barujel. Services will be held at Congregation Beth Emeth, 100 Academy Road Albany on Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 12 noon. Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be held in the Temple Israel Cemetery on Western Avenue in Guilderland. The period of mourning will be observed at the residence of Donald H. Sommers in Albany on Wednesday and Thursday evenings from 7-9pm.
