I am so sorry for the loss of your Mother.
Lee lived across the street from me at Presidential Estates. We became friends and I have many wonderful memories of her. She was a great cook and loved having friends over for dinner. She was dedicated to her cats and I often cared for them when she was away. Do you remember the time she decided one of them would enjoy an outing at Thatcher Park? The cat ran off into the woods and Lee came home distraught because the cat was gone. I went back to Thatcher Park with her at night and she shined the car lights into the darkness of the woods. We could hear the cat answering her and she kept calling until the cat finally came to her. What a joyous moment that was for her! She was a caring, thoughtful person and was fun to be with and converse with. I have a lovely pair of earrings that she bought for me on one of her trips. She was always concerned about her sons but also was very private about them and their lives. Once I moved to Albany, we lost touch but I never stopped thinking of her. I shared some lovely times with her and am blessed to have known her.
My thoughts are with you at this time.
