CORINNE “CORKY” TEPPER
Loudonville, New York
Corinne Tepper, 86 of Loudonville, NY, passed away on Wednesday morning, December 21, 2016 at the Manor Nursing Center in Freehold, NJ after struggling with failing health for several years. She had been a resident of Loudonville, NY for 37 years.
Corinne, daughter of the late Eva Staffin & Thomas Burns, was born in Brooklyn on May 3, 1930. She grew up in the Brownsville section and graduated Tilden High where she studied to be a stenographer. She met her husband Leonard Tepper who grew up in the Bensonhurst section of Brooklyn. They were married in Brooklyn on August 6, 1949 and raised three sons. They moved to Long Island, NY in 1958, and then to Langhorne, PA in 1970 and finally settled in Loudonville, NY in 1977. Corinne retired at the age of 73 from Filene’s Department Store at the Crossgates Mall, Guilderland, NY after many years of service.
She is survived by her 3 sons, Craig Tepper of Mt. Vernon Iowa and his wife Barb, Gary Tepper of Whitehouse Station, NJ and his wife Lisa and Brian Tepper of Marlboro, NJ and his wife Denise. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, her Sister-in law Carol Burns of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, 2 nieces and a great niece. She was predeceased by her husband Leonard Tepper and brother Richard Burns.
Services will be held at Congregation Gates of Heaven, 852 Ashmore Avenue, Schenectady, NY on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at noon. Interment will follow at the Congregation Gates of Heaven Cemetery on Watt Street, Schenectady, NY.
