Obituary of Arnold Marinstein

Arnold Marinstein, age 84 of Plano, Texas died on December 7, 2016 in Texas. Arnold was born in NYC and was raised in Brooklyn. He was the son of the late Rose and Joseph Marinstein. Arnold graduated Midwood High School in Brooklyn, attended Brooklyn College and graduated from Philadelphia Textile Institute. After college he resided in Schenectady, NY, Hartford, Ct. Fort Lee, NJ, Philadelphia, PA, and settled in Dallas. TX, where he lived for more than 30 years. Initially, Arnold was a salesman for the Bobbie Brooks Clothing Company. For most of his career, he was the owner of a jewelry wholesale business, which operated under the name of Marin Designs. As a jeweler, Arnold traveled throughout the world. Arnold was very personable and charismatic, a devoted son, brother and uncle, and an avid sports fan. He is survived by his brother, Elliott F. Marinstein (late Leita) of Niskayuna, NY. He also leaves his nieces and nephews; Edward R. Marinstein and his wife Robyn B. Marinstein and their children, David S. Marinstein and Jessica S. Marinstein of Slingerlands,NY, as well as his nephew, Jay D. Marinstein and his wife Rhea A. Marinstein and their children, Jenna R. Marinstein and Ross H. Marinstein of Wexford, Pa. Services at the Beth El Cemetery on Belle Avenue in Troy, NY on Sunday, December 11, 2016 at 2:00pm.
