Obituary of Stanley Margolius
STANLEY MARGOLIUS
After 80 years, four not-so-bad direct offspring, nine above average grandchildren, seven up and coming great-grand children, and 60 years with a knock-out wife named Joyce who was swept off her feet at age 13, Stan Margolius has left the building - and he brought his bag of jokes and tricks with him.
If you need Stan, he will likely be in a place where golf, tennis, basketball, football, and baseball are always in season. He and Frank Sinatra will be best buds in no time, and the two will cruise around in a shiny Cadillac - windows down.
Stan will keep his competitive nature afloat by challenging the guys to bridge, poker, and arm wrestling. Who knows, he may even form a bowling league where he is. He'll continue to sit on the edge of his seat for the latest and greatest gadgets in technology (he did build one of the world's earliest clouds, after all). When he's not chasing moles off his pristine lawn he will be coaching youngsters at bat, indexing old photographs of his many beach adventures from Spain to Hawaii, diving deep into the family's genealogy, and cheering on his Giants.
He'll no doubt have the comfiest of La-Z-Boy recliners set up where he will puff his wooden pipe, sip instant coffee, combat brain-freeze from Stewart's black cherry ice cream, and breeze through word puzzles. He'll wait patiently for the rest of us to join. Please just remember to remove your outdoor shoes and lace up a pair bleach white sneakers before entering.
Stan will keep a close and prideful eye on his three curly-haired daughters (Susan, Julie, and Linda), and his son/prince (Steven) along with the crew of exceptional in-laws, 9 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren they brought into his world. He will continue to adore his loving wife in the most spectacular love story the world has ever known.
