Obituary of Malcolm M. Rosen

k Malcolm M. Rosen of Rexford, NY formerly from Latham, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family June 12, 2012. He was born in Buffalo, NY in 1943, son of the late Maurice & Fanny Rosen and the loving husband of Rita Rosen married on September 3, 1966. He is a graduate of Albany High School Class of 1961 and attended both Erie County Community College and University of Buffalo. Malcolm had previous employment with the Times Union, Mohawk Ambulance, Helderberg House, and Millview. His life accomplishments include being a life member of the S.W. Pitts Hose Co. in Latham, NY, a Paramedic/EMT for the Town of Colonie for 25 years, an active member of Congregation Beth Shalom, and was involved with the Exploring Division of The Boy Scouts of America through which he had the ability to mentor several young adults to find a career in emergency services fields. Survivors in addition to his wife Rita; include a daughter Michelle (David) Bielawa of Clifton Park, NY; a son Kevin (Sally) Rosen of Saratoga Springs, NY; granddaughter Samantha Bielawa and Caitlyn Rosen; a niece, 2 nephews, and several cousins. Services at Congregation Beth Shalom, 688 Clifton Park Center Road, Clifton Park, NY on Thursday, June 14, 2012 at 10:00am.Friends may pay respects prior to the service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in the memory of Malcolm M Rosen to the S.W. Pitts Hose Company, Latham,NY; Congregation Beth Shalom Clifton Park, NY; and Clifton Park Halfmoon Ambulance Corps, Halfmoon, NY. The period of mourning will be observed in the Community Room of the MeadowView Apartments, 579 Waite Road in Rexford, NY on Thursday following the service of interment as well as Thursday evening from 6-8pm and commencing again on Sunday evening from 6-8pm. The family would like to express thanks to the Albany Dialysis Center, Tri-City Ambulette, the staff at St. Peters Hospital including the Hospice Inn at St. Peter's, and Eddy VNA Long Term Care for all of their support and care.
