Obituary of Diana E. Sander
Diana E. Sander, age 93 of Delmar, New York died on Friday, September 2, 2016 at her residence. Born in the Bronx, she was married to Arthur S. Hendler until his passing and later married Irwin P. Sander until his passing in 2012.
Diana earned her Bachelor’s degree from Brooklyn College and her Masters in Economics from NYU. She was a Pioneering woman economist holding positions in NYS Government Agencies including the Dept. of Commerce, Dept of Social Services and the Public Service Commission. Diana was a loving Mother, wife, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed water color painting, photography, and was a lifelong learner as a regular in courses both at SUNYA Albany and Congregation Beth Emeth and the Hill Program in Bethlehem.
Diana is survived by sons, Clifford Hendler and his wife Deborah Neipris, and Charles Hendler as well as her daughter Audrey Hendler. Grandmother of Danielle and Emily Sedbrook, Micah and Reuben Hendler and Emma, Lily and Izi Sander. She was predeceased by a daughter, Lynn Sander and a son Mark Sander and is survived by their spouses, Tod Sedbrook and Kathleen Sander.
Services at the Mendleson Chapel located on the grounds of the Beth Emeth Cemetery on Turner Lane in Loudonville, NY on Sunday September 4, 2016 at 11:00am.
