i came to know Justine back in 1989. I used to work where she lived. Townhouses at lake isle. Eastchester ny. Security officer. I was posted at the guard house. The main entrance of the gated community. She was truly one of a kind lady, very sweet person. Not an ounce of hate. She always smiled and greeted me when she came home from work or passing through. Always stopped to have a conversation with me. She was one of the very few tenants I became close to while i worked there. I was going through a rough time while i worked there and she was always there when i needed, and always lifted my spirits up. Words cannot describe Justine. When i found out she passed away my heart just sank to the ground. She will always be in my heart. i will miss you and thank you for our friendship I will never forget you May you rest in peace

To the family of Ms. Justine Trattner,
Ms. Trattner was my fifth grade teacher at Daniel Webster Elementary in New Rochelle NY in 1968-69 and I adored her. She was, by far, the best teacher that I had for my education. There are not enough adjectives to describe her qualities.
I was thinking about her today and just decided to look her up online and found out that my beloved teacher is no longer with us. I am now an elementary teacher and have her picture hanging in my classroom as a constant reminder of the kind of teacher that I would like my students to remember
My condolences to the family. She was a wonderful person.

Dear Karen and family,
It has been many, many years since Justine volunteered at Student Advocacy and many years since I ran into her at Trader Joe's in Eastchester. I thought she was an amazing woman who cared so deeply about children. May the wonderful memories that you have of her comfort you at this sad time.
My best,
Karen Blumenthal

Justine and I were members of the Book Club - W.E.R.E.A.D. for many years. I have missed her wonderful presence at our meetings and discussions. On my last visit to her; she mentioned that she was moving to be nearer to family. My prayers and warmest thoughts are with you. Justine was a real gift. Sincerely, Vivian Evans
