Philip Podhoretz
Schenectady - Philip Podhoretz,
86, died Monday,
May 30, 2016 at Ellis Hospital
in Schenectady,
following a brief illness.
He leaves behind
his wife of 63 years,
Ada; his daughter,
Penny Rosen; and
son-in-law, Dave;
and his three grandchildren,
Jacob,
Zachary and Jolie.
Born and raised in Schenectady,
he was the son of
Sam and Anna Podhoretz.
He was born on January 13,
1930, and was raised along
with his five siblings.
Philip was a devoted husband,
loving father and
grandfather, and an all
around great man.
He was the co-founder
of Parker Marks Company,
an HVAC company out of
Schenectady, NY. He enjoyed
his work and continued
working up until the
day he passed.
Never shy, he would always
say how he felt when
he felt it. Every night before
bed, he would
ask his wife, “Ada,
do you know how
much I love you?”
He will be remembered
as a simple
man who would
constantly talk
about his family to
anyone who would
listen.
A funeral service will be
held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday,
June 1 at Beth Israel
Cemetery Upper Chapel
(off Hamburg St.) in Rotterdam,
Schenectady.
The cemetery is located on Abbottsford Road in Rotterdam off of Hamburg Street
