Obituary of Eli Kaufman

Eli Kaufman age 69 of Ballston Lake, NY died on Thursday morning, April 7, 2016 at his residence. Born in Kassel, Germany, Eli was raised in Israel, later moving to Albany in the late 1970’s. He served in the Israel Army during the 6 Day War. He was the original owner of the Bagel Bite in the Westgate Shopping Center. Eli had a love for music, dancing and singing and also played several musical instruments. He also loved boating and the simple things in life such as relaxing. He will be remembered by his family for his generosity and his love to help others He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Lyudmila Kaufman , his children, Daniel Kaufman ( Dawn) of Clifton Park, NY, Eric Kaufman ( Ahbra), pf Guilderland, NY, Karen Kaufman- Wachs (Josh) of Ballston Lake, NY and Anna Gayday of Boston. Grandfather of Gabriella, Camden, Kieran Aidan, Jacob, Joshua, Noah , Ari and Ethan He also leaves his niece and nephew ,Hadass and Joe Kaufman as well as his canine companion, Oliver. . He was predeceased by his brother, Tuvia Kaufman Service at the Beth Abraham Jacob Cemetery, Western Avenue in Guilderland on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 10:00am.Friends and relatives are invited to attend The period of mourning will be observed at the home of Karen and Josh , 12 Beresford Road Ballston Lake, NY on Sunday, April 10th from 12 noon until 7pm. Those wishing to remember Eli in a special way may make a contribution to Hospice of Saratoga County.
