Obituary of William L. Fox
William ‘Bill’ Fox, 65, of North Greenbush died at his home on March 14, 2016 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. Bill was born on July 2nd, 1950 in Baltimore to the late Theodore and Sara Fox, grew up in Fair Haven, NJ, and settled in the Capital District after attending Union College and Albany Law School.
Following graduation, Bill practiced law in East Greenbush. Additionally, Bill served as Deputy Town Attorney for North Greenbush, was a law guardian, and more recently President of the Rensselaer County Bar Association.
Outside of work, Bill enjoyed spending time with friends on the golf course, keeping tabs on thoroughbreds with his racing partners, traveling, and supporting the Union College men’s hockey team as an executive committee member of the Garnet Blades. Above all else, Bill was fully devoted to his family and friends and enjoyed sharing stories with his signature humor and quick wit. Bill’s gregarious nature and love of life will be carried on by his wife of forty-one years, Janis, his sons Jared and Derek, and their significant others, Yom and Rahel, two grandchildren Poppy and Ollie, and brother Henry Fox.
The family would like to thank their incredible network of supportive family and friends with special thanks to Dr. Susan Weaver of Albany Medical Center.
