Obituary of Eydie L. Auerbach
Eydie L. Auerbach, 69 of Galway, NY died on Saturday morning, January 16, 2016 at the Hospice Inn at St. Peter’s Hospital in Albany surrounded by her loving family. Born in Albany, NY, Eydie was a loving Mother, a homemaker and she enjoyed gardening, cooking and music. Her grandchildren were the love of her life. Eydie was a member of the Beth Tephilah Synagogue in Troy and Congregation Beth Abraham Jacob in Albany.
Eydie is survived by her husband, Alan Auerbach. She was the loving Mother of Alana L. Auerbach of Green Island, NY, Lisa Knizek and her husband Darin of Galway, and Adam Auerbach and his wife Jillian also of Galway. Cherished grandmother of Gabrielle, Alexandra and Aaron Liev. Sister of Rosann Keeler, Diane Franz, Rudolph Hildebrandt Jr, Dean Hildebrandt Barbara Hildebrandt and Debbie Bleau. She was predeceased by her brother Robin Hildebrandt and her sister, Elizabeth Pratt. Eydie is also survived by her Simon family, their children and grandchildren as well as Jessica Benson and her family.
Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue Albany on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 2:30pm Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to visit with the family commencing at 1:30pm on Monday. Interment will follow services in the Beth Tephilah Cemetery on Belle Avenue in Troy. Those wishing to remember Eydie in a special way may make a memorial contribution to the Salvation Army, 452 Clinton Avenue Albany, NY 12206 or the Helping Paws Rescue, 140 Old State Road, Broadalbin, NY 12025.
