Obituary of Frances Kaplan

Frances Kaplan, age 89 of the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center in Albany died on Monday, October 5, 2015 at the nursing home. Born in the Bronx, Frances was the daughter of the late William and Regina Lepselter. She had been employed as a bookkeeper for the United Auto Workers, District 65 in NYC, Frances was married to James J. Kaplan until his passing. Mother of Diane Knupp and her husband William of Guilderland, NY and Clifford Kaplan and his wife Sheri of New Providence, NJ. Grandmother of Samantha and Alexandra Kaplan, Seth Knupp (Lisa), and Alyssa Dube (Adam) Great grandmother of Jacob and Ella Knupp and Rachel Dube. She was predeceased by her brother, Bernard Lepselter. Services will be held in the chapel at the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center, 180 Washington Avenue Extension in Albany on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at 9am with interment to follow in the Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge, New Jersey. Those wishing to remember Frances in a special way may make a memorial contribution to Alzheimer’s Association of NENY, 4 Pine West Plaza Suite 405, Albany, NY 12205, the Daughters of Sarah Nursing Center or Congregation Ohav Shalom, 113 New Krumkill Road, Albany, NY 12208.
