We were lucky to have worked with your mother for many years at Shaker. We have many good memories of our contacts with her. She had such a wonderful sense of humor and was always so upbeat. She made it fun to call Shaker and made a visit to the school a pleasant experience. We are very sorry for your loss.

Bill, Tommy Z, and I were talking about Bill's mother just a month or so ago. I was happy to learn she was doing well. Yesterday my sister forwarded to me an obituary from the Times Union that Marge had passed on. I remember Marge as the voice of Shaker High. But she was more. She was my mother confessor.

As a former teacher at Shaker High School, my knowing Marge Pollack was a "godsend." I called her the Big “O” or short for her position as high school operator. She amazed me with her ability to be “upbeat” and “friendly” each and every day, year after year after year. Her infectious smile, humor and quick wit were all contagious. I honestly feel that the faculty and students were extremely blessed to have had such a marvelous individual in her position allowing us to interact with her on a daily basis. She played a very important role in my life and for that, I truly "grateful." Yes, that school dismissal bell has finally rung and may you now rest in peace my wonderful and long lasting friend …………….
