Obituary of Carole L. Cohen

COHEN Niskayuna, New York Carole L. Freedman Cohen, age 72 of Niskayuna, New York died peacefully at her residence on Saturday morning, July 4, 2015. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Carole was a graduate of Skidmore College where she received her bachelor’s degree in secondary education. She had taught school in the Schenectady school system. Carole was a member of Congregation Agudat Achim in Schenectady. Carole is survived by her devoted husband, Stuart E. Cohen. Loving Mother of Nina ( Adrian) Swierczewski of Latham, NY. Grandmother of Jaclyn and Laura Swierczewski. Sister of Doris ( Jack) Stein of Youngstown, Ohio. Carole was predeceased by her parents, Jerome and Ruth Freedman Services at Congregation Agudat Achim 2117 Union Street in Schenectady on Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 11:00am. Interment will follow in the family plot in the Agudat Achim Cemetery on Schermerhorn Street in Rotterdam In lieu of flowers, those wishing to remember Carole in a special way may make a memorial contribution to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 421 New Karner Road, Albany, NY 12205. Friends are invited and may call at the family residence on Tuesday evening commencing at 7pm, A brief service will be held at that time.
