Obituary of Adele Pogoda

Adele,Ribak-Pogoda 94 of Albany, New York passed on May 21, 2015. She was preceded in death by beloved spouse of Marcus Ribak for 36 years and of Emanuel Pogoda for 18 years, as well as loving companion of Alan Arcus for 12 years. Adele is survived by sons Brian Ribak and wife Loretta of Tulsa, OK, David Ribak and wife Margie of Canton, MA, Charles Eric Ribak and wife Julia of Monarch Beach, CA, and Jason Miles Ribak and wife Amy of Medford, MA, and many blessed grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Adele was very active in community service. She was a cub scout den mother, a member of Temple Israel Sisterhood, a member of Hadassah, and a piano accompanist for various musical groups. Upon graduation from SUNYA in 1967, she taught at Albany High School until her retirement in 1975. Graveside services will be held at Temple Israel Cemetery at 1626 Western Avenue, Albany, NY on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 12:00 noon.
