I knew Stan for may years, I stayed at his place in Plantation Fl while I got my 1st Class FCC license. I was also the DJ for his "Super Disco" nightclub events This was in the 1970's.. After many years, we had recently connected and I was happy to see him. Stan was always a good friend, and would go out of his way to help if he could. He also was a listener to my radio shows on WRPI. I just found out about his passing. My heart feels the loss. Wish I had seen him earlier when he sent me a message about an illness he had gone through and that he was connecting to the spiritual.

Stan was an inspiration to the Amateur Radio community. I have had many dealings with him over the last 35 years to include the purchase of his 6el 6 meter beam which I am still using, the sale of my National NC183d and the transfer of my business location on Central Avenue he was using. Years ago after his mother passed I went with Stan to his Mothers Cemetery and placed little rocks on her gravestone that Stan said was a symbol of remembrance.
Stan was a faithful friend and he will be missed until we meet again in that big "Ham Shack In the sky"............73's for now Stan, you have QSY'ed to a higher frequency where I don't have operating privileges at this time. You are gone but not forgotten, your good friend RIP Steve Novak Ka2exb.

Stan-wa2bah--RIP--
Stan was a kind, gentle and wise fellow who always tried hard to make things go smoothly. He and I visited many times over the years in person and by phone and email. He was a gracious and welcoming host.
He taught me a lot about life and I think I am a better person just for knowing him. He was a great role model and I wish there were more hams like him.
He wil be greatly missed but not forgotten.

I would like to express my deepest condolences to Michele, Stan's Family, and all those who knew him. Stan was a great teacher (elmer to most). Stan knew how to teach a person anything.....and most of the things I learned from Stan was not necessarily about Amateur Radio. He taught me a lot of life lessons as well....and maybe the most important lesson I would like to share with those who are reading this is...
"Everyday is gravy."
Thank you Stan for all that you have taught me and those around you. You will be missed.
73 Stan and thanks for the great QSO.
