JOAN R. FISHER
Joan Rottmann Fisher, age 84 of Loudonville, NY died on Saturday morning, May 5, 2012 at the Albany Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Mrs. Fisher grew up in Newark; NJ.She was a graduate of the Eastside High School, Class of 1944 and received her bachelor's degree in speech and drama from SUNY Albany. In 1951, Joan married her high school sweetheart, Burton Fisher who predeceased her in 2009. In 1952 her daughter Jill was born and her son, Bradley in 1955. She moved to the Capital District in 1954 from New Jersey. She had been past president of the Albany Civic Theater and had been very active in Community Theater, as an actress and director. Joan had participated in as many as 3 dozen plays. She is a member of Congregation Beth Emeth in Albany.
Joan is survived by her children, Jill Fisher of Loudonville, NY and her son, Bradley Fisher and his wife Carol of Boulder, Colorado. Grandmother of Kelsey Fisher of Boulder, Colorado, Kimberly Fisher of NYC, Jennifer Sack of Albany, Jason Sack of Gainesville, Virginia and Michael Sack of Boston, Ma.
Services will be held at the Mendleson Chapel, located on the grounds of the Beth Emeth Cemetery on Turner Lane in Loudonville, NY on Monday, May 7, 2012 at 2:00pm.
