Obituary of Martin S. Lazarow

MARTIN S. LAZAROW age 77 of Clifton Park, New York died Sunday December 21, 2014. Mr. Lazarow was born in Schenectady, New York, the son of the late Jack and Ida Goldberg Lazarow. A graduate of Nott Terrace High School, he served three years in Europe in the Army. After his military discharge, he was a commercial artist and later received his BS cum laude and MS from the State University of New York at Albany and JD from Albany Law School. Mr. Lazarow was an Attorney at Law and a Certified Public Accountant in private practice. He was also counsel to the NY Senate Committee on Taxation, Clifton Park Zoning Board of Appeals, faculty member of the School of Business at SUNYA, and Town Justice of Clifton Park. Mr. Lazarow was a founding member and the first President of Congregation Beth Shalom and belonged to numerous professional and social organizations. He is survived by his wife Barbara Genden Lazarow, his son Lee A. Lazarow (Daphna), his daughter Sherine A. Lazarow, sisters Shirley Payet (Claude) of Murrells Inlet, South Carolina and Lynne Margolius (Ken) of Ballston Lake, NY, and grandchildren Samuel and Coby. Funeral services will be on Tuesday December 23, 2014 at 12 pm at Congregation Beth Shalom on Clifton Park Center Road in Clifton Park, New York. Shiva services will be held at the Lazarow residence Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 6:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions can made to Community Hospice of Saratoga at 179 Lawrence Street, Saratoga Springs, NY 12866.
