Rose Kaplan Weinblatt , age 98, of the Daughters of Miriam Center, Clifton, NJ died on Wednesday, October 15, 2014. Born in Albany, NY. Rose resided in New York City for many years later moving to Florida. For the last eight years she has been residing in New Jersey to be closer to her family. She had been employed as a secretary for the New York State Public Service Commission working in Albany and New York City. Rose was married to Edward Weinblatt until his passing in 1983. Loving mother of Marilyn Altschule of Pompton Lakes, NJ. Cherished grandmother of Howie (Denise) Altschule and Joshua (Erin) Altschule. Great grandmother of Andrew, Sasha and Hailey Altschule. Dear aunt of Sheila , Ronald, Terry, Richard, Barry, Diane, Vickie and Jeffrey. When Rose married Ed, she joyfully welcomed nieces and nephews, Doris, Ben, Barbara, Arthur, Stanley and Howard to her family. Rose was predeceased by a brother, Morris Kaplan and two sisters, Beatrice Yanku and Sophie Orfitelli. Services at the Beth Abraham Cemetery, Western Avenue, Guilderland, NY on Sunday October 19, 2014 at 12:00 noon. Those wishing to remember Rose in a special way may make a memorial contribution to a charity of your choice. The period of mourning will be observed on Sunday following the service of interment and on Monday and Tuesday at the home of Howie and Denise Altschule in Slingerlands, NY and the remainder of the period of mourning will be observed at the home of Marilyn Altschule in Pompton Lakes, NJ.
