Obituary of Robert Elliott Lider

Robert Elliott Lider, age 59 of Guilderland NY died on Thursday, September 22, 2011 at the Timberlynn Heights Nursing Home in Great Barrington, Massachusetts. Bob was born in Gloversville, NY and has been a Capital District resident most of his life. He was a graduate of Northville High School and had been valedictorian of his class. While in high school he was a star basketball player. He also attended Middlebury College in Vermont. He was an expert skier and enjoyed hiking. Bob was a member of the Bethlehem Neighbors for Peace. He was strongly committed to environmental issues and social justice. He is survived by his loving wife, Candace Lider, his children, Chauncey and Caroline Cole. Brother of Susan Hutson of Virginia. He also leaves his canine companion, " Bubbie". Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue in Albany on Sunday, September 25, 2011 at 12:30pm.
