To Sadie's family, My sincere condolences on the passing of your mother. I was shocked to read about it in the Gazette. Sadie was one of those people we expect to live forever. I wish I could have seen her one more time before she left us. I became acquainted with your mother in a professional capacity and in short order, we developed a very fond friendship. As you know, I'm sure, she was an amazing person, revered, admired and loved by all.She will be sorely missed by her friends and leaves a huge footprint in this community. Sadie and I have had many deep discussions on so many levels; she was always superbly articulate without being pedantic, empathetic without being overly sympathetic, encouraging thought without being persuasive and always a delightful sense of humor. We laughed a lot together. I think, when children move away and live far from parents during thier own adult lives, they lose track of the kind of person(s) their parents are. (I know I did). Your mom was "the best" in every sense of the word. I loved her. I cherish the memory of her. Sincerely, Joan Mack, P.T.

I am among the many who have lost my mentor, Sadie. Until the end, she remained the sparkplug of Congregation Agudat Achim. Her ideas for revitalizing the synagogue were sound as well as necessary. She showed us all how to live life to the fullest, bringing along others in her wake. I wish we all had as many answers as she did - but we all will be thinking "What would Sadie do?"
