Obituary of Morris Jacob Finkelstein

MORRIS J. FINKELSTEIN Morris J. Finkelstein died on April 16, 2012 at the Daughter's of Sarah Nursing Center after a brief illness, surrounded by family. Morris was born in Cohoes, NY in 1922 to Abe and Mae Weiner Finkelstein. He had one sister, Sylvia Finkelstein and one brother, Joseph Finkelstein, both of whom who predeceased him. The family lived in Troy NY, until moving to Albany in 1968. After returning from military service, Morris graduated from Siena College in Loudonville NY. He was an accountant with loyal clients practicing in the Capital region for more than 40 years, retiring from Teal, Becker & Chiaramonte. Throughout his long life, Morris was devoted to his friends and family. He enjoyed golfing and bowling, and countless occasions of laughter and celebration with friends and family. Morris is remembered fondly by his niece, Sharon Finkelstein of Schenectady, his nephews, Jonathan Finkelstein of Boston, Massachusetts and Neal Finkelstein of Oakland, California, and his sister-in-law, Nadia Ehrlich Finkelstein of Schenectady. In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Morris' life can be made to the Daughter's of Sarah Nursing Center, 180 Washington Avenue Ext., Albany, NY 12203. Friends are invited and may call at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue in Albany , NY on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 from 4:30pm to 6:00pm.
