Obituary of Irene Weitzman

Irene Weitzman, age 87 of Tamarac, Florida died on Thursday evening, May 19, 2011 in Tamarac. Born in Hamilton, Ontario Canada, Mrs. Weitzman resided for many years in the metropolitan New York area later moving to Rock Hill in Sullivan County. In 2002 she and her husband Sam moved to Sunrise, Florida. Irene was a life member of City of Hope in Rock Hill, a member and Past President of B'nai B'rith Women and a member of Jewish Women's International. Irene is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Sam Weitzman. Beloved mother of Gary Weitzman of Albany, NY and Suzie Lustig of Plano, Texas. Grandmother of Vanessa and Cara Lustig. She also leaves 2 nieces, a nephew and 3 grand nephews and a sister-in-law Lillian Bienstock. Irene was predeceased by her brother, Jimmy Rosen. Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue Albany, NY on Sunday, May 22, 2011 at 4:00pm. Interment will take place on Monday May 23, 2011 in the King Solomon Memorial Park in Clifton, New Jersey. Friends may call on Sunday and Monday from 7:30 to 9:00pm at the Alexander Apartments Community Room, 255 Patroon Creek Blvd. in Albany.
