Obituary of Sylvia L. Cretz

Sylvia Cretz, age 91, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2011 at the Daughter's of Sarah Nursing Center. Born in Albany, Sylvia enjoyed volunteering at the VA Hospital and for Meals on Wheels. She also found great joy in playing the piano. Sylvia was employed by the N. Y. S. Department of Taxation and Finance. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She is survived by her sons Gene (Annette) Cretz, of Washington D.C., Andrew (Anna) Cretz, of Voorheesville, N.Y. and 3 grandchildren, Michael, Jeffery, (Megan) ,and Gabrielle Cretz. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday May 1, 2011 at Hebrew Tailors Cemetery, Western Ave., Guilderland, New York. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in Sylvia's memory may donate to The Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center, Pediatric Hematology and Oncology Unit, 43 New Scotland Avenue, Albany New York 12208 or to a charity of one's choice.
