Obituary of Robert Michael Gordon
Robert ( Bob) Gordon, age 68 of Albany, NY died on Tuesday, October 18, 2011 at St. Peter's Hospital in Albany..
Bob was attached to the community of Liberty where so many people knew him. His growing up years were full of teenage antics and long-lasting friendships. He used to say he liked "fast cars and slow women". Many people have a "Bobby" Gordon tale to tell and he would be very happy to hear them...although most he would deny.
Bob was very special. He loved the sport of intellectual conversation and verbal sparring. He was an observer of human nature and often offered an original perspective. With his wit and humor, he engaged many people.
Bob's profession was law. He worked as an Assistant District Attorney in Ellenville,
NY. , a rates expert at the Interstate Commerce Commission in Washington, DC. and an Administrative Law Judge for the Department of Social Services and Department of Labor.
In his later years, Bob was a docent for the Saratoga Automobile Museum which provided many entertaining hours for both Bob and the visiting public.
Unfortunately, he had to endure many medical procedures and illnesses and eventually lost his battle with a variety of them. He died peacefully surrounded by his whole family.
Bob is survived by his beloved wife, Lois Katz Gordon and his loving son, Steven Gordon of Albany, NY. Brother of Warren Gordon of Ridgewood, NJ and Helen Gordon of Monkton, Vermont.
