Obituary of Bertram Fuchs

Marathon Florida Fuchs Dr. Bertram Fuchs, age 94, of Marathon, Florida formerly of Delmar New York died on Monday morning October 18, 2010 at the Eddy Village Green in Cohoes New York. Born in Jersey City, New Jersey, Dr. Fuchs was a graduate of the Hempstead High School in Hempstead, Long Island and Columbia University, Class of 1937. Dr. Fuchs graduated from the S.U.N.Y. Downstate Medical Center in 1949. Dr. Fuchs was a Gastroenterologist and practiced in Mineola, New York for thirty years retiring in 1987 at which time he moved to Marathon. Dr. Fuchs was an Army veteran and served during World War II. Dr. Fuchs is survived by his wife, Sophie Schalet whom he married in 1952. Father of Dr. Marc Fuchs and his wife Betsy of Delmar, New York and Ronnie Fuchs and her husband Sandy of Cambridge, Massachusetts. Brother of Morton Fox of Silver Spring, Maryland. Grandfather of Daniel J. Fuchs, Amanda B. Fuchs, Rebecca Rabison and Joseph Rabison. Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue Albany on Thursday October 21, 2010 at 11:00 A.M.
