Obituary of Joan Forman

JOAN FORMAN 1936-2010 Joan Forman, age 73 of Clifton Park, NY died on Wednesday September 8, 2010 surrounded by her family at Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY. Joan was born in Brooklyn, New York and was the daughter of the late Nathan and Rose Gellman. She relocated to the Capital District in 1965 making Clifton Park her home. Joan was a member of the Edison Club where she was an avid bridge and canasta player. She was a founding member of Congregation Beth Shalom in Clifton Park and a lifetime member of its sisterhood. Joan was also a lifetime member of Hadassah. She is survived by her husband Barry Forman and was the loving mother of Seth Forman (Bennett Capers), Sharon Forman (Lucille Sollazzo) and Laura Forman. She is also survived by her beloved grand daughter Elena Forman and her sister Judith Nislow (Fred). Services will held at Congregation Beth Shalom, 688 Clifton Park Center Road in Clifton Park, NY on Monday September 13, 2010 at 10:30 a.m.. Interment will follow in the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, Schuylerville, New York. The period of mourning will be observed at the Forman residence on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, September 13- 15 from 7-9pm.
