Obituary of Norman Shubin

NORMAN SHUBIN 1916-2010 Norman Shubin, age 93 of the Daughters of Israel Home in West Orange, New Jersey died on Saturday evening, August 28, 2010 at the St. Barnabas Hospital in Livingston, NJ. Born in DuBois, Pa, Mr. Shubin grew up in Rochester, NY later moving to Schenectady in 1958. He was an Army veteran and served during World War II. Norman was a clothing buyer for the former Jonathan Reed Stores in the Capital District. Mr. Shubin moved to Sarasota, Florida in 1988 and has been in New Jersey the last several years. He is a member of Congregation Beth Israel in Schenectady. He was married to Molly Shubin until her passing in 2005. Loving Father of Michelle Shubin and her husband Hector of Maplewood, NJ. He also leaves various extended family members. Services at the Beth Israel Cemetery on Abbottsford Road in Rotterdam, NY on Monday August 30, 2010 at 1:00pm.
