Obituary of Harold M. Gottheim

HAROLD M. GOTTHEIM 1927-2010 Albany, New York GOTTHEIM Harold M. Gottheim, age 82 of John David Lane in Albany, NY died on Tuesday evening March 2, 2010 at the Delray Medical Center in Delray Beach, Florida. Mr. Gottheim was born in NYC and moved to the Capital District area in 1953. Harold was a graduate of the Brooklyn Technical High School and Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY. He was a long term NYS employee including being the Director of Electronic Data Processing for the NYS Dept. of Health and Vice President of Operations at the NYS Higher Education Services Corp. Following his government service he worked in private industry for Sperry Univac Corporation and Urbach Kahn and Werlin CPAs. Harold was the son of the late Ben and Sadie Gottheim. He was predeceased in 1990 by his wife Sheila. He is survived by his son, Robert M. Gottheim (Laurie), of Albany, NY, his daughter, Cheryl A. Padula (Stephen) of Ridgefield, Washington and his daughter, Karen J. Wise (the late Jeffrey) of Wayland, MA. He is also survived by his five grandchildren, Benjamin A. Gottheim (Cara), Steven M. Gottheim, Lauren M. Padula, Joshua A. Wise and Samuel S. Padula. Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue Albany, NY on Friday March 5, 2010 at 11:00am. Interment will follow in the Temple Israel Cemetery in Guilderland, NY. The period of mourning will be observed at the home of Robert and Laurie Gottheim, 80 Buckingham Drive in Albany through Wednesday March 10th with evening minyans at 5:30pm Sunday through Wednesday.
