Obituary of Gloria Zuckerman

GLORIA MILBERG ZUCKERMAN 1918-2010 Gloria Milberg Zuckerman, age 91 of Cary, North Carolina formerly of Albany, NY and Schenectady, NY died on Saturday February 6, 2010 at the Rex Rehabilitation Center in North Carolina. Gloria was born in Brooklyn, NY and resided in Albany most of her life and Schenectady for her married life. She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Sadie Milberg. She had worked with her husband, George in various family owned businesses. She had been a member of the Sisterhoods of Congregation Beth Israel and Congregation Gates of Heaven in Schenectady . Gloria was a member of the Albany Hebrew Tailor's Association and did volunteer visitation at the Kingsway Arms Nursing Home in Schenectady. Gloria was married to George Zuckerman for 57 years until his passing in 1995. Loving Mother of Gerald Zuckerman (Marlene Leboff) of Schenectady, NY, Gordon Zuckerman (Linda) of Niskayuna, NY and Gilroy Zuckerman (Marilyn) of Cary, North Carolina. She also leaves 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Gloria was predeceased by her loving daughter in law, Myrna Zuckerman and brothers, Ed, Lou and Sam. Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue in Albany on Wednesday February 10, 2010 at 11:00am. Interment will follow in the Hebrew Tailor's Cemetery in Guilderland, NY. Those wishing to remember Gloria in a special way may make a memorial contribution to Congregation Beth Israel 2195 Eastern Parkway Schenectady, NY 12309 or a charity of your choice. The period of mourning will be observed at the home of Gordon and Linda Zuckerman, 1137 Fernwood Drive in Niskayuna, NY on Wednesday, Thursday and on Friday through noon. A minyan service will be held at the residence on Wednesday and Thursday evenings at 7:00pm.
