Obituary of Frances Kudon Lotstein

FRANCES KUDON LOTSTEIN 1919-2011 Boynton Beach, Florida Frances Kudon Lotstein, 91, of Boynton Beach, Florida died Monday, March 14, 2011 at her home after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Dorothy Drooz and sister of the late Betty Lobel Mrs. Lotstein was born in Albany, attended Albany High School and for many years was the office manager for Dr. Herman Kudon, her husband of 53 years, an Albany Optometrist. She maintained a home in Slingerlands until her death. Mrs. Lotstein was a member of Temple Israel and a longtime member of Hadassah. After Dr. Kudon's death, Mrs. Lotstein began a new life, marrying Irving Lotstein of Stamford, Connecticut and Boca Raton, Florida. Following Mr. Lotstein's death in 2003, Mrs. Lotstein devoted her time and love to her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also enjoyed being with her Stamford family members and a group of dear friends with whom she played bridge, went to movies and shared dinners in Florida and Albany. Mrs. Lotstein is survived by her beloved son and daughter, H. Kenneth (Angela) Kudon, of Potomac, Maryland and Sandra Lynn (Howard) Newell, of Framingham, Massachusetts; her beloved grandchildren, Deborah (Steven) Pierce of Short Hills, New Jersey; Nicole (Ira) Wenzel of Boca Raton, Florida; Jeremy (Greer) Kudon of Manhattan; Carly (Daniel) Blair of Vienna, Virginia; and Brian (Marnie) Kudon of Hoboken, New Jersey; and her nine beloved great grandchildren: Carlie and Ashlee Wenzel, Evan and Connor Blair, Sasha and Benjamin Kudon, Zachary and Dylan Pierce and Harper Kudon. Mrs. Lotstein is also survived by her beloved step-daughters Martha (Joel) Ratner and Jane (Philip) Molstre, both of Stamford, Connecticut and their children and grandchildren. Services will be at the Levine Memorial Chapel, 649 Washington Avenue, Albany on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be at Temple Israel Cemetery, Western Avenue, Guilderland. Mourning will be observed at Mrs. Lotstein's home, in , Slingerlands, following the service of interment and Thursday evening. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of one's choice.
