IRVING ( IRV) LICHENSTEIN Irving A. Lichenstein, age 86 died Tuesday, February 08, 2011. Born and raised in Newburgh, New York he resided most of his life in the Niskayuna area. Irv was a WW II veteran having served in the European Theater of Operations 3rd Army. He was employed by the RTA Corp. of Albany for 41 years. Irv was a member of Congregation Agudat Achim. Irv is survived by his adoring wife, Rose of over 60 years and 4 loving daughters, Patti MacGregor ( William) of Niskayuna, Debra Beale ( David) of Colonie, twin daughters, Lori Lichenstein of Glenville, NY and Jill Razzano ( Sam) of Latham, NY. Grandsons, Jeffrey MacGregor and Michael Razzano and granddaughter, Rachel MacGregor. Irv's nephew and niece, Larry and Janet Kaplan, were very special to him. He was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Bessie Lichenstein. Irv was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather and uncle. He was especially proud of his grandchildren. Irv enjoyed playing pool and golfing and especially entertaining others with his singing -one would think Frank Sinatra was in the room. A private graveside service will be held.
