Obituary of Jerome Lozoff

Guilderland, NY LOZOFF Jerome R.Lozoff, RPh. age 65 of Guilderland, NY died on Tuesday evening August 19, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Lozoff attended the former Milne High School in Albany and graduated from the Albany College of Pharmacy (Union University) class of 1966.. Jerry owned and operated the former Lozoff's Pharmacy on North Allen Street in Albany for many years. In 1982 he began his employment with the NYS Dept. of Health- Office of the Medicaid Inspector General. He was a member of Congregation Beth Emeth in Albany. Jerry was the husband of Kitty LeClaire Lozoff and father of Collette Lozoff. He was the much loved and adored Poppa to Simone and Sophia Patrone- Lozoff. He was special Poppa to Paula, Carmen, Lucette and Jared. He is also survived by his Mother, Mildred Shogaun Lozoff of Albany. Brother of Marsha Heffron. Uncle of Bob, Danny and Rick Heffron and their families. Jerry was the brother-in-law Cherie and Al Frith. He also leaves an aunt, Shirley Goldberg and many cousins and friends. Jerry was predeceased by his father, Irving Lozoff and a brother David Lozoff. Services at the Levine Memorial Chapel 649 Washington Avenue Albany on Friday August 22, 2008 at 1:30pm. Friends and relatives are respectfully invited to call at the Levine Memorial Chapel on Friday commencing at 12:30pm. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Jerry's memory to the Mohawk and Hudson River Humane Society Oakland Avenue Menands, NY 12204 or Equinox Inc. 95 Central Avenue Albany, NY 12206.
