Colonie, NY KERMAN Sylvia Fallick Kerman, age 89 of the Beltrone Living Center on Winners Circle in Colonie died Friday morning August 15, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Kerman was born in Poughkeepsie, NY and resided there most of her life. She had been a Capital District resident for the last 4 years. She was a member of Temple Beth El in Poughkeepsie, NY. She and her husband Hy Kerman met in Atlantic City during the war and have vacationed there ever since. Sylvia is survived by her husband of 62 years, Hy Kerman and 2 daughters, Sharon (William) Snyder of Port St. Lucie, Florida and Denise (Dr. Nathan) Naparstek of Niskayuna, NY. Sister of Jules Fallick of South Orange, New Jersey. Grandmother of Dr. Adam Rosenberg, Beth Corrine Oxborough ( Thom), Eli Naparstek, Rachel Naparskek and Joseph Naparskek. Great grandmother of Khalil, Caleb and Alice Oxborough. Services at Temple Beth El 118 Grand Avenue Poughkeepsie, NY on Sunday August 17, 2008 at 12 noon. Interment will follow in the Temple Beth El Cemetery in Poughkeepsie, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Colonie Senior Service Center Inc. at the Beltrone Living Center 6 Winners Circle Colonie, NY 12205 or a charity of ones choice. Following the service of interment the family will be returning to Temple Beth El in Poughkeepsie from 2-3pm. The period of mourning will be observed at the Naparstek residence 906 Northumberland Drive in Niskayuna, NY through Friday with a minyan service on Monday and Tuesday evenings at 7:30pm.
